Who Requires Invisalign® & How Does It Work?
Invisalign® uses a series of clear, custom-made aligners to gradually move your teeth into the desired position. Each aligner applies gentle, controlled pressure on specific teeth, progressing your treatment step by step. You’ll change to a new set of aligners approximately every 1-2 weeks until your treatment is complete.
What are the different alignment problems that Invisalign fixes?
Overbite
Due to an underdeveloped upper jaw, the upper front teeth overlap the lower front teeth causing a large gap between them. This makes certain parts of the jaw more susceptible to injury and causes enamel erosion.
Invisalign helps to close these gaps with a customised course and align the teeth as much as possible.
Underbite
Quite opposite to an overbite, an underbite occurs when the lower teeth overlap the upper teeth, usually caused by an overdeveloped lower jaw. This affects one’s ability to speak, chew and can cause enamel erosion as well.
These issues can be fixed and improve overall appearance with Invisalign depending on how pronounced the underbite is. A child with a developing jaw would be the perfect time to correct this issue.
Crossbite
A crossbite occurs when some lower teeth overlap the upper teeth, while a few upper teeth fall in front of the lower ones causing a receding gum line and other problems. A crossbit can get in the way of facial development and affect its structure as the jaw moves unevenly.

Aligners Fitted & Treatment Begins
Once your custom aligners are ready, we’ll fit the first set and provide instructions for wearing and caring for them. You’ll need to wear them for 20-22 hours daily, removing them only to eat, drink, and brush your teeth.

Regular Check-Ups & Final Results
Follow-up appointments are scheduled every 6-8 weeks to track your progress and provide new aligners. Once your treatment is complete, you’ll receive retainers to maintain your new smile.
